Twould Ease a Butterfly - Butterfly Poems - Poem by Emily Dickinson

'Twould ease—a Butterfly
Elate-a Bee-
Thou'rt neither-
Neither-thy capacity-

But, Blossom, were I,
I would rather be
Thy moment
Than a Bee's Eternity-

Content of fading
Is enough for me-
Fade I unto Divinity-

And Dying-Lifetime-
Ample as the Eye-
Her least attention raise on me-
Love Poems By Emily Dickinson

Happiness is a butterfly,
which when pursued,
is always just beyond
your grasp, but which,
if you will sit down quietly,
may alight upon you.
