For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
- John 3:16

Catholic Religion, The Dome of the Rock
The Dome of the Rock was first built in 691 A.D by the caliph (king) Abd al-Malik.

The Jews and the Muslims continue to fight each other over this Dome, because it stands on the site where the Jews’ holy temple stood.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.

made them know.

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated and the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.

- John 3:36

A Ballad of Trees and the Master

Into the woods my Master went, clean forspent, forspent. Into the woods my Master came, forspent with love and shame. but the olives they were not blind to Him; the little gray leaves were kind to Him; the thorn-tree had a mind to Him when into the woods He came.

Out of the woods my Master went, and He was well content. Out of the woods my Master came, content with death and shame. When death and shame would woo Him last, from under the trees they drew Him last: 'Twas on a tree they slew Him~last When out of the woods He came.

On Every Rose

I see His blood upon the rose and in the stars the glory of His eyes, His body gleams amid eternal snows His tears fall from the skies.

I see His face in every flower; the thunder and the singing of the birds are but His voice~and carven by His power rocks are His written words.

All pathways by His feet are worn, His strong heart stirs the ever-beating sea, His crown of thorns is twined with every thorn His cross is every tree.
- Joseph Mary Plunkett

The Mystery

He came and took me by the hand
up to a red rose tree,
He hept His meaning to Himself,
but gave a rose to me.

I did not pray Him to lay bare
the mystery to me;
enough the rose was heaven to smell,
and His own face to see.
- Ralph Hodgson
